5 Feb 2002 - Added poem search - at last! By popular demand a poem search facility has been added. Enter a word or two into the search box and click "search" - it finds any poem where the title, poem, notes of author matches the search.

For example "man u" will match "Man U" and "Man United". Case is ignored. So "matthews" will find all the Stanley Matthews poems. We still intend to add categories and clubs 'cos for example there are more poems found for Zola than for Chelsea... now that's poetry for you!

29 Jan 2002 - Changes to the poem submission process. Due to the increased number of inappropriate poems we have changed the submission process. New poems now go into a 'holding' or 'preview' area. They only appear on the main site after a review by one of the site editors.

Editorial policy is unchanged; all poems must be connected with football. Stuart suggests a minimum one line football connection.

13 Sep 2001 - Added Big Issue article to the press page for all those who missed the original. We'd like to point out that we're now just The Football Poets since it's bigger than just Stroud and also Stroud Football Poets continue to write stuff that's nothing to do with football... like plays about W H Davis and Laurie Lee.

13 Sep 2001 - Updated the Workshops page with info on last Saturdays workshop, including kids poems and pictures. Thanks to Ted Smith-Orr for his visit to Stroud, his help with the workshop and his poetry performances in the afternoon.

8 Sep 2001- The website is relaunched for the 8th of September as promised - We will be adding some more on the weekends festival activities. The first collaboration with Ted Smith-Orr and the kids workshop / live performance on Saturday 9th.
